Two IVF (first) babies have a chat

Elizabeth Carr was the first IVF birth in the USA. She was born on December 28, 1981, and was the 14th baby in the world to be born using the techniques developed by Bob Edwards and Patrick Steptoe. Her parents had to travel from their home in Massachusetts to Norfolk, Virginia to seek help from pioneering doctors Howard and Georgeanna Jones who had worked with Edwards and Steptoe.

Elizabeth is a passionate advocate for those fighting for fertility rights. She now has a great podcast on the subject of fertility and I recently joined her for a chat about our mutual experiences as "firsts". You can hear our chat here:
